TERMS OF USE

Effective Date: September 18, 2026

Welcome to Dads Supporting Dads.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Dads Supporting Dads website, including www.dadssupportingdads.co, the Dad-Owned Business Directory, business registration and listing services, memberships, events, merchandise, advertising and sponsorship opportunities, email communications, community features, and any other services, content, or features we make available through the website (collectively, the “Services”).

The Services are operated under the name Dads Supporting Dads (“Dads Supporting Dads,” “DSD,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using the Services, creating an account, submitting information, purchasing a listing, purchasing merchandise, registering for an event, or otherwise interacting with the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. ABOUT DADS SUPPORTING DADS

Dads Supporting Dads is a community designed to connect, support, and provide resources to dads.

Our Services may include, among other things:

  • The Dads Supporting Dads website;

  • The Dad-Owned Business Directory;

  • Paid business listings;

  • Community resources and content;

  • Advertising and sponsorship opportunities;

  • Events and event registration;

  • Merchandise;

  • Giveaways and promotions;

  • Email newsletters and other communications; and

  • Additional features or services introduced in the future.

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any portion of the Services at any time.

Nothing on the website guarantees that any particular feature, program, event, business listing, promotion, sponsorship opportunity, or other service will remain available.

2. ELIGIBILITY AND ACCOUNTS

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, purchase a business listing, enter into a commercial arrangement with us, or otherwise use portions of the Services that require legal capacity to enter into a contract.

When creating an account or submitting information, you agree to provide information that is accurate, current, and complete.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity occurring through your account.

You may not impersonate another person or business, create an account using information you do not have permission to use, or provide false or misleading information.

We reserve the right to refuse registration, remove accounts, suspend accounts, restrict access, or terminate accounts at our discretion where reasonably necessary to protect Dads Supporting Dads, our community, our users, or the integrity of the Services.

3. DAD-OWNED BUSINESS DIRECTORY

The Dad-Owned Business Directory allows eligible businesses to submit information for inclusion in our directory.

Submitting or paying for a listing does not guarantee acceptance, publication, placement, visibility, traffic, leads, customers, revenue, or any particular business result.

We reserve the right to approve, reject, edit, suspend, unpublish, or remove listings that violate these Terms, applicable law, our community standards, or our directory requirements.

Businesses are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted to the directory is accurate, lawful, current, and not misleading.

Dads Supporting Dads Does Not Endorse Listed Businesses

The directory is intended to help users discover businesses.

Unless we expressly state otherwise in writing, inclusion in the directory does not constitute an endorsement, certification, recommendation, guarantee, or verification by Dads Supporting Dads.

Dads Supporting Dads does not guarantee or warrant:

  • The quality of a listed business's work;

  • Licensing or insurance status;

  • Qualifications or certifications;

  • Pricing;

  • Availability;

  • Background or reputation;

  • Accuracy of information supplied by the business;

  • Products or services provided;

  • Customer service;

  • Safety; or

  • The outcome of any transaction.

Users are responsible for conducting their own research and due diligence before hiring, paying, contracting with, or otherwise doing business with anyone found through the directory.

4. TRANSACTIONS BETWEEN USERS AND BUSINESSES

Dads Supporting Dads is not a party to agreements or transactions between users and businesses listed in the directory unless we expressly state otherwise.

Any contract, payment, estimate, warranty, service agreement, dispute, injury, loss, property damage, refund request, or other issue arising between a user and a listed business is between those parties.

Dads Supporting Dads is not responsible for the acts, omissions, representations, products, services, workmanship, pricing, conduct, or business practices of directory participants.

You agree that you are responsible for evaluating whether a business or service provider is appropriate for your needs.

5. BUSINESS LISTING FEES AND SUBSCRIPTIONS

Certain directory listings or features may require payment.

Prices, billing periods, features, and other applicable terms will be disclosed at the time of purchase.

If you purchase a recurring subscription, you authorize us and our payment providers to charge the applicable recurring fee until the subscription is canceled.

Unless otherwise stated, cancellation prevents future renewal charges but does not retroactively refund amounts already charged.

We may change subscription pricing or features in the future. When required by applicable law, we will provide appropriate notice before changes affecting an existing recurring subscription take effect.

We may offer promotional pricing, founding-member benefits, special placement, badges, promotional opportunities, or other programs. Eligibility, availability, and specific benefits may be limited and may change.

Business listings may also be eligible for promotional exposure through Dads Supporting Dads platforms, including our website, email communications, and social-media communities. Unless expressly guaranteed in writing, purchasing a business listing does not guarantee any particular frequency, placement, audience size, impressions, leads, or results from such promotion.

6. FOUNDING MEMBER OR “FOUNDING FATHERS” PROGRAMS

We may recognize early participating businesses through a “Founding Fathers,” “Founding Dads,” founding-member, or similar program.

Any benefits associated with these programs apply only as described when offered.

References to a “permanent” listing, badge, placement, or recognition mean that we intend to maintain that recognition while the relevant Dads Supporting Dads service, directory, or feature continues to operate.

It does not guarantee that Dads Supporting Dads, the website, the directory, or any particular page or feature will operate indefinitely.

We may make reasonable changes to the design, placement, appearance, format, or functionality of founding-member recognition.

7. ADVERTISING AND SPONSORSHIPS

Dads Supporting Dads may offer paid advertising, sponsored posts, sponsorship packages, featured placements, email sponsorships, event sponsorships, website advertising, social-media promotions, and similar opportunities.

Specific advertising or sponsorship arrangements may be subject to a separate written agreement.

Unless expressly guaranteed in writing, advertising or sponsorship does not guarantee any particular number of impressions, clicks, leads, sales, conversions, customers, followers, or other results.

We reserve the right to reject advertising or sponsorship content that we believe is inappropriate, misleading, unlawful, harmful to the community, or inconsistent with the Dads Supporting Dads brand.

Paid or sponsored content may be identified as advertising, sponsored content, a partnership, or similar terminology when appropriate or legally required.

8. USER-SUBMITTED CONTENT

Users may be able to submit business descriptions, logos, photographs, reviews, comments, event information, advertisements, messages, or other content (“User Content”).

You retain ownership of your User Content.

By submitting User Content to us, you grant Dads Supporting Dads a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, publish, distribute, resize, format, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, promote, and improve Dads Supporting Dads and the Services.

For example, if you submit your business logo, photographs, business name, or description for the directory, you authorize us to display that content in the directory and potentially use it to promote the directory, the business, or Dads Supporting Dads through our website, social-media communities, email communications, and other promotional channels.

You represent that you own or have permission to use anything you submit and that our use of it as permitted by these Terms will not violate another person's rights.

9. ACCEPTABLE USE

You may not use the Services to:

  • Violate any law or regulation;

  • Harass, threaten, abuse, stalk, or harm another person;

  • Promote hatred or unlawful discrimination;

  • Commit or facilitate fraud;

  • Impersonate another person or organization;

  • Submit intentionally false or misleading information;

  • Upload malicious software or harmful code;

  • Attempt unauthorized access to accounts or systems;

  • Scrape, harvest, copy, or systematically collect information from the Services without permission;

  • Use automated bots or similar systems to abuse the Services;

  • Spam users;

  • Infringe intellectual-property rights;

  • Circumvent security or access restrictions;

  • Manipulate ratings, reviews, listings, promotions, or community features; or

  • Interfere with the operation or security of the Services.

We may investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action, including removing content or restricting or terminating access.

10. COMMUNITY MODERATION

Dads Supporting Dads is intended to foster a useful and supportive community.

We reserve the right, but do not assume an obligation, to monitor, moderate, edit, restrict, or remove content or users.

Moderation decisions may be made to protect members, businesses, Dads Supporting Dads, or the overall community.

The fact that content appears on our Services does not mean Dads Supporting Dads agrees with, endorses, or verifies that content.

11. EVENTS

Dads Supporting Dads may organize, promote, sponsor, or provide information about events, including events such as Dad Con and other community gatherings.

Events may have separate registration terms, waivers, rules, age restrictions, cancellation policies, or other conditions.

Participation in physical events involves risks inherent in travel, gatherings, recreational activities, sporting activities, food and beverage consumption, and interactions with other participants.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, attendees assume ordinary risks associated with voluntarily participating in an event.

Third-party venues, vendors, sponsors, speakers, instructors, entertainers, and service providers are responsible for their own acts and services.

12. MERCHANDISE

We may offer merchandise through the website or third-party fulfillment providers.

Many merchandise products are made to order after a customer places an order.

Unless otherwise stated or required by applicable law, made-to-order merchandise sales are final and are not eligible for returns, exchanges, or cancellations due to change of mind, incorrect size selection, buyer preference, or similar reasons.

If merchandise arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from what was ordered, customers should contact us promptly. We may request photographs or other reasonable documentation to verify the issue and may provide a replacement or refund when appropriate.

Product appearance, sizing, availability, delivery estimates, and other details may vary.

Shipping and fulfillment may be handled by third parties.

Additional shipping, return, exchange, or refund policies displayed at checkout or on the applicable merchandise page may apply to purchases.

Please review our Refund & Cancellation Policy for additional information.

13. GIVEAWAYS AND PROMOTIONS

Dads Supporting Dads may occasionally conduct giveaways, contests, sweepstakes, or promotions.

Each promotion may be governed by separate official rules, eligibility requirements, entry periods, prize descriptions, and restrictions.

Where separate official rules apply, those rules control the promotion.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, no purchase is necessary to enter a sweepstakes or chance-based giveaway.

14. EMAIL AND MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

If you subscribe to our mailing list or otherwise consent to receive marketing communications, we may send you news, community updates, business-directory information, promotions, sponsorship messages, event announcements, featured businesses, and other Dads Supporting Dads communications.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in those communications.

Unsubscribing from marketing communications may not prevent us from sending transactional or administrative communications relating to your account, purchases, subscriptions, listings, security, or other transactions.

15. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS

The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, businesses, payment processors, social networks, fulfillment providers, advertisers, sponsors, and other services.

Those services are controlled by their respective operators.

Dads Supporting Dads is not responsible for third-party websites, products, services, content, security, availability, privacy practices, or business practices.

Your dealings with third parties are governed by the agreements and policies between you and those third parties.

16. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Except for User Content and third-party materials, the Dads Supporting Dads website and its original content, branding, logos, graphics, design, software, text, organization, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Dads Supporting Dads and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may use the Services for their intended purposes.

You may not reproduce, sell, license, distribute, create derivative works from, commercially exploit, or use our intellectual property without prior written permission except where applicable law expressly permits it.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Dads Supporting Dads intellectual property to you.

17. COPYRIGHT AND INTELLECTUAL-PROPERTY COMPLAINTS

If you believe content appearing through the Services infringes your copyright or other intellectual-property rights, please contact us through the contact information or Contact Us page available on the Dads Supporting Dads website.

Please provide sufficient information to identify the material, explain your claim, and allow us to locate the content.

We may remove or restrict access to material when appropriate.

18. NO PROFESSIONAL ADVICE

Information available through Dads Supporting Dads is provided for general informational and community purposes.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, content available through the Services does not constitute legal, financial, medical, tax, insurance, investment, mental-health, or other professional advice.

You should consult an appropriately qualified professional regarding decisions requiring professional advice.

19. DISCLAIMERS

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”

DADS SUPPORTING DADS MAKES NO GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR AVAILABLE AT ANY PARTICULAR TIME.

WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY USERS, BUSINESSES, ADVERTISERS, SPONSORS, OR OTHER THIRD PARTIES.

WE DO NOT GUARANTEE RESULTS FROM BUSINESS LISTINGS, ADVERTISEMENTS, SPONSORSHIPS, EVENTS, COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION, PROMOTIONAL EXPOSURE, OR ANY OTHER SERVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND OTHER WARRANTIES THAT MAY OTHERWISE APPLY.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain warranty exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

20. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DADS SUPPORTING DADS AND ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES, REPRESENTATIVES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES.

THIS INCLUDES, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, DATA, GOODWILL, OPPORTUNITIES, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGES ARISING FROM DEALINGS BETWEEN USERS AND BUSINESSES DISCOVERED THROUGH THE DIRECTORY OR COMMUNITY.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:

(A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID DIRECTLY TO DADS SUPPORTING DADS DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM; OR

(B) $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so these limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law.

21. INDEMNIFICATION

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Dads Supporting Dads and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, affiliates, representatives, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, costs, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising from or relating to:

  • Your violation of these Terms;

  • Your misuse of the Services;

  • Your User Content;

  • Your violation of another person's rights;

  • Your business listing, products, or services; or

  • Your unlawful conduct.

22. SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Services when we reasonably believe doing so is necessary because of:

  • A violation of these Terms;

  • Fraudulent or unlawful activity;

  • Abuse of users or the Services;

  • Nonpayment;

  • Security concerns;

  • Misrepresentation;

  • Risk to Dads Supporting Dads or other users; or

  • Discontinuation of a Service.

Termination does not eliminate obligations or liabilities that arose before termination.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective.

23. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Before beginning formal legal proceedings, you agree to contact Dads Supporting Dads through the contact information provided on our website and provide a reasonable description of the dispute.

You and Dads Supporting Dads agree to attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, except for matters eligible for small-claims court or matters for which applicable law prohibits mandatory arbitration, the dispute will be resolved through individual binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under the applicable AAA rules.

Arbitration will take place on an individual basis.

YOU AND DADS SUPPORTING DADS AGREE THAT CLAIMS MAY BE BROUGHT ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN A CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from bringing an eligible individual claim in small-claims court.

Arbitration Opt-Out

You may opt out of the arbitration requirement by sending written notice through the contact information provided on our website within 30 days after you first become bound by these Terms.

Your notice must include your name, contact information, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of the arbitration provision.

Opting out of arbitration does not affect the remainder of these Terms.

24. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and disputes arising from them will be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where federal law or other applicable law requires otherwise.

For disputes that are not subject to arbitration, you and Dads Supporting Dads consent to the jurisdiction of appropriate state and federal courts located in Illinois, subject to applicable law.

25. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms as the Services evolve.

When we make changes, we may update the Effective Date displayed at the top of this page.

For material changes, we may provide additional notice when required by law.

Your continued use of the Services after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

26. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law or severed where necessary.

The remaining provisions will remain in effect.

27. NO WAIVER

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce that provision later.

28. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy, and any additional terms expressly applicable to a particular purchase, promotion, event, advertising arrangement, or Service, constitute the agreement between you and Dads Supporting Dads concerning your use of the Services.

If separate written terms apply to a specific transaction or service and conflict with these Terms, the more specific terms will control with respect to that transaction or service.

29. CONTACT US

Questions regarding these Terms may be directed to us through the Contact Us page on our website.
